Biography
James Kenneth Hahn was born on July 3, 1950, in Los Angeles to Ramona (Fox) and Kenneth Hahn. The future politician attended several local schools: Manchester Avenue and Daniel Freeman elementary schools, Horace Mann Junior High School, and Los Angeles Lutheran High School.
In 1972, Hahn graduated with honors from Pepperdine University’s Los Angeles campus, earning a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in journalism. He continued his education at the university’s School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 1975. Later, in 1994, he was honored as the “Distinguished Alumnus” of Pepperdine’s School of Law.
